Update (2024-11-03): This blog is no longer on Gemini.
I've been thinking a lot about scale lately. In my day job, I work for huge, boring enterprises building huge, boring systems. The work itself isn't bad, but working with these large, complex messes can be disheartening.
In that vein, I decided that I should have a go at creating a gemlog. I'll probably mirror this to the web. This is just the latest of a few abortive attempts at blogging. My last was enjoyable, but I only published the one entry—I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and it just took me too damn long.
So with this attempt, I'm aiming to keep it as easy as possible to write. The log runs on a raspberry pi plugged into my router, and is synced from an Obsidian notebook. Anything I jot down in the notebook ends up here. I expect the results to be unpolished. I hope that they are, nevertheless, of interest to someone out there.
See you around.
